The A-Mack Program
The A-Mack Program is an educational program for youth to be educated about Domestic Violence. It was established after the death of Aniya Mack, who was murdered by her ex-boyfriend, June of 2018.
This program is important because young adults must understand the dangers of intimate partner violence, stalking, and sexual assault. Many students have the perception that it's not appropriate to get involved with their friend's relationships, fearing it could harm their friendship.
The reality is that young people have limited relationship experience. And more often than not, if a high school relationship was at all violent or unhealthy, it's likely that future college relationships will be the same. It's imperative that our youth knows what healthy relationships are, what the warning signs are, and how to get help.
